Funeral services were held Sept. 13 at Mt. Zion Holiness Church, Jersey City, for Bernese Lois Mosby, 70. She passed away Sept. 10. She attained her education in Jersey City public school system. At a young age Bernese married Corneilus Mosby. Bernese was always willing to help those around her. Lois was manager of the Rod and Gun Club on MLK Drive. Lois was chairperson of Curry Woods Tenant Management Corporation, which she helped rebuild the community in the early 70s. Lois leaves behind to cherish her memory: four sons Keith (Salaam) Mosby, Timothy Mosby, Kenneth Ali George and Alondo Darnell Heath; two sisters Shirley Fields, and Carolyn Rogers; one daughter in law, Beverly Mosby; sixteen grandchildren: Crystal, Latasha, Kiyhana, Hasson, Ahmad (Beanie) Shirlee, Kimeya, Amber, Lamont, Taynifah, Tiffani, Nasir, Isiah, Kenneth, Alondo, and Tyshawn; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephew and friends. She also leaves behind one of her special friend that will miss her, Chris Oliver. Services arranged by the Jackson Funeral Residence, Jersey City.
