BREAKING: Jets quarterback Tim Tebow still doesn’t live in Hoboken

HOBOKEN — This past spring, rumors swirled saying that new New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was moving into a condo in Hoboken, not far from the residence of rival New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.
The rumors received a boost when several media sources jumped on the bandwagon to report the move, and when Mayor Dawn Zimmer appeared to confirm the rumor. After a jokester set up a Twitter account in the name “Hoboken Tim Tebow” and tweeted about Hoboken government, Zimmer tweeted, “I am referring this to authorities. Our newest resident to Hoboken is entitled to his privacy and respect.”
The rumors were false, but they still persist, Tebow told news outlets on Friday. He made the comment in reference to rumors saying he’s going to request a trade if he isn’t used full-time as a quarterback.
Tebow was quoted as saying, “I find that pretty funny. It’s about as true as me living in Hoboken, I think.”
When asked what he had against Hoboken, he said he doesn’t have anything against Hoboken — he just doesn’t live there.
Still.
To this day.
