RECAP: Real Housewives of New Jersey, season 4, episode 17

NEW JERSEY — It’s time for another recap of “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” which stars, among other cast members, three Hoboken residents: Albie Manzo, Chris Manzo, and Greg Bennett. So that’s our excuse for including these recaps in the Hoboken Reporter, but you can play around this site a little (hudsonreporter.com) and find more serious news and community event coverage as well.
Now, the recap:
This episode was relatively drama free. Everyone is back from their Napa RV trip and Melissa Gorga is making the rounds, trying to heal friendships. Caroline tells her she’s through with Teresa and doesn’t want to be Teresa’s friend anymore. Melissa tells her that her attitude reminds her of high school. Ooh, you stood up to Big Red!
Next, Teresa is celebrating the launch of her new wine (???), Fabellini, which is carbonated and comes in several delicious fruit flavors! Talk about being as Italian as the Olive Garden. Maybe the wine should have Sam the Toucan on the bottle.
Even Ramona Singer knows not to mess with tradition. White or red, that’s the choice…not peach.
Teresa says she didn’t invite Jackie Laurita to the event because she hurt her. So much for mending fences.
She DID, however, invite Dina Manzo, who also says that Caroline’s reaction sounds like high school. Dina comes with a cute little assistant dude, possibly meant to take the place of Scary Cat, who we presume is not allowed inside.
Meanwhile…it’s back to school. The Gorga and Giudice kids are dressed to kill. It’s important to learn the meaning of “mani” and “pedi” before your ABC’s.
Kathy and Richie Wakile’s daughter is ready to tour colleges. She checks out the University of Maryland. So she’s maybe a little smart. The dorm room is too small for her. She acknowledges that she is maybe a little spoiled, too.
By the way, her mom’s pastries look SCRUMPTIOUS. Much better than the Mint Milanos or whatever it is Melissa put out for Jackie Laurita when she came over. Talk about being as Italian as the Olive…oops, we used that already.
Before we forget: Caroline heads to Sirius radio to do an advice show, along with her entire family. And they get NO calls. So she has to keep babbling. You know you’re in trouble when then there are fewer listeners than people in the studio.
Next week, Part I of the finale will be on, because it’s so good, you need more than 1 show from it. Then, the reunion. Go get some Pepperidge Farm cookies and lime flavored wine and enjoy.
