Private funeral services were scheduled for Susana Diaz, 38, of Bealeton, Va. She died Aug. 20 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. She was born in, was a former resident of West New York, and graduated from Memorial High School and Iona College. Susy enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball and softball. She worked for Customs and Border Protection. She is survived by the love of her life, Lauri Sanchez; her mother, Amelia Vega of Jacksonville, Fla.; three siblings, John Diaz of West New York, Amelia Gomez of Union City, and Jose Gomez of Jacksonville; and a nephew, Matthew Gomez. She also leaves her two dogs, Duke and Dori. Her father, John Bautista Diaz, preceded her in death. Services arranged by the Moser Funeral Home,
