The Hudson Reporter’s very first, bi-annual edition of Hudson Reporter Family was inserted into the Hoboken and Jersey City papers two weekends ago and can be found online HERE. The family-friendly go-to guide provides a list of resources for parents from activities such as soccer and tumbling to services like parenting groups and day care. The guide is a useful resource for parents of kids at any age whether they have a tiny tot or a teenager, whether they have an interest in music lessons or medical services.

Are you in the need for a pediatrician? Or are you interested in connecting with other parents in the area for support? Hudson Reporter Family provides a great place to start.
The family guide includes two main categories: “Activities” and “Services,” which include the listings of both for- and non-profit organizations.
Activities
The activities section provides families with ways to keep children engaged and having fun from recreational sports and physical activity to places to play and be entertained.
For instance, parents will find cultural pursuits for their kids such as visiting the Urban Arts at Monroe located at 720 Monroe St. in Hoboken, where the visual arts are used as a vehicle for self-expression.
Services
So what do you do when you live in Hudson County and you’re a new parent and could really use a seasoned parent to talk to? Or when your child is rapidly approaching the age when school will give you a moment of respite, but you love him so much you have to be absolutely sure you’ve made the best choice from all the options out there? And by the way, what are all the options out there?
The Services section in the guide allows parents to find necessities such as babysitting, dental care, and mental health services. It includes a list of pediatric and family focused medical services from primary care to dental to mental health.
The family guide also offers a comprehensive list of schools – including public, charter, and private – and the things that complement a child, tween, or teen’s education such as tutoring, or special needs supplements, for instance.
Parents will also find a comprehensive list of places to check out and determine what best suits a family’s specific needs.
