HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — The Cinnamon Snail food truck offers a wide variety of unique vegan meals, from maple pecan waffles to Korean barbecue seitan. The truck has visited Red Bank, N.J., Manhattan, and Hoboken. They are so kind that they say on their website that if you’re homeless and broke, they’ll feed you for free.
But its owners say there’s one thing they won’t do anymore: Make cakes.
At least, that’s what they posted on Facebook and Twitter this weekend. Apparently, a groom at a wedding had some harsh cuss words for the Snail after they made him a cake.
It appears they won’t be trying to rival Hoboken’s “Cake Boss” any time soon.
“This is a really sad story,” they write, “and because of it, we have decided that we will NO LONGER BE OFFERING CAKES.”
