Dear Editor:
Last weekend, Mile Square Theatre presented its 10th Annual 7th Inning Stretch: 7 10-minute plays about baseball. It played to sold out audiences at our home at the rejuvenated Monroe Center. It is our big fundraiser of the year, and we want to thank the 40-plus theatre artists who volunteered their talents for the event. Veterans of Broadway, film, television, and regional theatre appeared in the show and the lineup of plays were contributed by some of America’s best playwrights. We also thank the audience members who come out to the show every year and to the individuals and businesses who sponsor the event: 35-Minute Book Camp, Applied Development, Bayonne Community Bank, Haven Savings Bank, hMag, Hoboken Brownstone, The Hudson Reporter, Marma Day Spa and Hair Cult, Jim and Paula Ohaus, and Frank Raia. Also thanks go to our season sponsors: Bijou Properties, The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, Hudson County Cultural Affairs, Mason Family Civic League, the Monroe Center, and the Rockefeller Group. We hope to see everyone in the fall for our production of Go, Dog. Go!, and our holiday revival of It’s a Wonderful Life!
