Funeral mass took place June 11 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Jersey City, for Paul Schardt, 70, of Susquehanna, Pa., formerly Jersey City. He died June 7 at the Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pa. He was born in Brooklyn, worked as a window cleaner, and was a member of the Window Cleaners Union, Local 2 in New York City. He was the father of Christine Swift and Paul Schardt, grandfather of Kaitlin Lyons, Harold Swift, Ayden Swift and brother of Robert Schardt.
