Dear Editor:
I am wondering why the four members of the Hoboken’s Historical Preservation Committee were not re-appointed. They have done a great job over the years (Theresa Castellano; Joyce Tyrell; Vinnie Wasmann and Lenny Luzzi). Could it be that they are all old Hoboken people? I think that it was a shame how they were informed that they were not going to be re-appointed. They were informed either by phone or paper notes, I feel they should have been shown some professional courtesy and that the Mayor should have informed them in person.
I am also concerned about extending the basketball courts in Church Square Park. If that is done there will be no access to the statue of Marconi and it will also block the Four Chaplains Monument. This monument represents the many men who died in World War II to preserve our freedom.
