Thank you to everyone that supported the 2nd Annual Swing Fore the Schools Charity Golf Outing, held on June 1st at the Crystal Springs Resort in Hardyston, NJ. Thanks to your support, this sold out event, with over 260 registered golfers and over 90 sponsors, was a huge success, raising over $60,000. Launched in 2011, Swing Fore the Schools is a collaborative fundraising event created by local parents to support six local schools serving over 1,400 kids in Hoboken & Jersey City (All Saints Episcopal Day School, Elysian Charter School, Hoboken Charter School, Hoboken Dual Language Charter School (HOLA), The Mustard Seed School and Stevens Cooperative School). The Swing Fore the Schools outing aims to bring together the larger local community in the support of a common goal, the education of our children, in a fun and competitive setting, building relationships and cooperation and augmenting the individual fundraising efforts already undertaken by each of the participating schools. The founders of the event and the schools all recognize that it is the best interests of our children to support different, vibrant and fiscally stable educational choices for the residents of Hoboken and the surrounding communities. While there are too many people to thank individually, we would like to thank all of the Players, Sponsors and Volunteers that made the 2nd Annual Swing Fore the Schools Golf Outing such an outstanding success. We look forward to an even bigger and better event in 2013. Stay tuned….
