Proof is in the Pudding

Dear Editor:
Political criticism seems to be the norm of all levels of government. Today political climate has caused many people to be too critical of even effective policy. Rarely do residents and citizens see the truth and reality behind the scenes, but rather cast their votes based on what they hear or hope will benefit the city. Yet a positive situation exists in Union City, where residents actually see all the hard work being put done by their elected Mayor. He consistently works for his constituents 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mobile office hours throughout the city make it easy and convenient to express your views and true free opinions to the mayor himself. The Mayor makes it his priority to send all residents’ constant reminders and invitations on important things going on in their city. From addressing issues of dog waste, honoring all mothers on their special day, to openings of new parks everyone in Union City is on the same page, thanks to a very transparent government. Brian embodies genuine integrity derived from being honest and having strong values, ethical behavior, and righteous character. When our Mayor advocates transparency and accountability in government, he means truly opening the city’s agendas and books to its residents and being certain that his commitments become actions. A great example I experienced as homeowner in Union City, is how personal and clear our Mayor was on the reasons why a tax increase was inevitable. He didn’t hide and pretend it wasn’t going to hurt anyone, but took it on his shoulders to let everyone know personally how he felt for them and how he will continue to cut all unnecessary spending in city hall, to keep that increase to minimum. Many people assume politicians are all about cutting deals that only benefit themselves. Mayor Stack continues to show and prove he isn’t interested in cutting out checks to help himself, but rather happier with cutting ribbons at new park ceremonies and schools , to benefit us and the community. If you need more proof, stop by 38th street and Park Ave or 45th between Palisade and New York Ave for the openings of even more parks for our kids to enjoy!
