NORTH BERGEN, WEST NEW YORK, WEEHAWKEN — Around 5,000 cyclists pedaled their way from the George Washington Bridge to River Road and finished at Weehawken’s Port Imperial Boulevard Sunday for the annual Gran Fondo New York race to raise money for charity.
They entered Hudson County at 11 a.m. and the course was held open until 5:30 p.m.. Bikers came from all over the world and the proceeds from the race went to Operation Smile, an international charity that helps children with facial deformities through surgery.
