HOBOKEN – Biggie’s Clam Bar, a longtime staple of Hoboken seafood, had their grand opening ceremony today to kick off their new location, the site of the former Clam Broth House at 36-42 Newark St.
Local officials and Biggie’s owners gathered at the front door at 11 a.m. Thursday for ribbon cutting ceremony. Local officials including Mayor Dawn Zimmer were in attendance.
Biggie’s has been a seafood force in Hoboken since Joseph Yaccarino, a comedian with the stage name “Biggie,” founded the restaurant at 318 Madison St. in 1946. It remains there today.
