CCB holds successful fundraiser

To the Editor:
The Concerned Citizens of Bayonne held the organization’s annual fundraiser on April 17 at The Chandelier Restaurant. The fundraiser was an evening of great food, great prizes, and great company. Everyone had a wonderful time.
The CCB gives special thanks to the committees who worked so very hard and did a wonderful job, namely Dolores Kelly, event chairperson; Jean Perrucci and Kathy Botros, reservations; Alice Rooth and Jerry Kelly, 50/50s; Marie Shahpazian and Loretta Cerullo, specials, bonus prizes, packages, programs, etc.; Carol Bednarski, Pat Polera and Carol Kochanski, tree of fortune; Angela Martorana and Elaine Bottino, dine around; Dolores Kelly and Jean Connolly, majors; Dolores Kelly, Jerry Kelly, Jean Connolly, Chris Reilly and Carol Savo, decorations.
Special thanks also go to John Baccarella for leading the national anthem; all who attended the fundraiser; all who helped set up and distribute the gifts; the staff of the Chandelier Restaurant for the fine service and wonderful food; Balloons LTD.; Sacalis Florist; the “Bayonne Community News,” “The Jersey Journal” and Cablevision for publishing our meeting and event notices; and to the Strucinski family for sharing the evening.
Thank you, too, to our members and all who contributed to our fundraiser (individuals and businesses). We are very grateful for your support. Special thanks to CCB’s energizer bunny, Jean Perrucci, who works tirelessly for the organization; Carol Kochanski for her efforts soliciting gifts “on line” (Green Mountain Roasters-Keurig, Liberty Science Center, Panera Bread, Jewelry from pinkcalyx.com, Harrah’s Atlantic City, and Frank Theatres); Jerry Kelly for donating the “USA” centerpieces; Jean Connolly for donating the balloons attached to the centerpieces; and Chris Reilly for designing the program cover.
Our 50/50 raffle, which was held for the benefit of Dawid Strucinski, was a huge success. Those in attendence heard from Dawid directly, who expressed his gratitude to the organization and to everyone who purchased raffle tickets or made donations. Dawid is a wonderful young man, and we wish him well. Thank you also to BCB Community Bank, all branches, for allowing us to sell our 50/50s at the bank, and to all who purchased the raffle tickets or made donations.
It was a wonderful evening – a great way to celebrate our organization’s 42 years of service to the Bayonne community.
