Services were held at St. John Baptist Church for Alice Jenkins Smith, 91, on April 18. She passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. She is the daughter of the late Johnny Jenkins and Pearl Williams Jenkins; wife of the late Wallie Smith; mother of Sidney Jenkins, Mamie (Kevin) Harris-Leftwich, and Eloise Smith, and the late Nettie and Albert; sister of Edna Bassett, Otis Jenkins, and the late Mary and Vester, and Charlie and John; mother-in-law of Wilbur; grandmother of 12, including the late Robert Lee and Mary; great-grandmother of 20; great-great-grandmother of seven; and great-great-great-grandmother of one; also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends. Funeral arrangements were by the Watson Mortuary Service. Interment, Rosehill Cemetery, Linden.
