Phenomenal music show at HMS

To the Editor:

During the first week of April, Horace Mann School celebrated the “Week of the Young Child.” Grades pre-kindergarten through third participated in a “Celebration of America: We Remember, We Appreciate, We Celebrate.”
This musical show was phenomenal. As soon as I entered the room with other parents, I could feel an energy and enthusiasm. From the decorations and props to the songs and the themes, the Week of The Young Child Committee impressed us all. It is always an exciting experience to see one’s child on stage; however, it is amazing how these teachers choreographed the show to include each and every student.
The children were fantastic! The way they highlighted our nation’s history through songs and scripts made me realize that patriotism is still alive and well. I can only imagine how honored our veterans in attendance must have felt.
Congratulations to Dr. Quinn and everyone at HMS, especially the Week of the Young Child Committee. Thank you for teaching our children the value of learning our country’s history and honoring those who serve. I think by the finale, each of the audience members were proud to be an American.
