On April 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m., and on April 15 and 22 at 3 p.m., the Hudson Theatre Ensemble will present “Stepping Out,” a comedy about the lives, laughs and loves ordinary people stepping out of everyday life into the magical world of tap dance. Eight people, their former chorus dancer teacher, and her grumpy pianist start out in a beginner’s tap dance class, which culminates in a public performance.
“The Hudson Theatre Ensemble is such a treasure for Hoboken. You always put on such fantastic productions,” said Geri Fallo, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Hoboken.
Cast members include Krystina Bailey, Iloire Blanos, Laura DiCerto, Dinah Gravel, Cristina Marie (a member of the Actors’ Equity Association), Jennifer Meyers, Florence Pape, Emma Peele, Gregory Nye, and Jill Sullivan.
Production staff includes Diana London, producer and artistic director; Florence Paper, director of development and publicity; Laurie Brongo, director; Donna Gearhardt Hearly, production manager and playbill; Sharon Gamboa, stage manager; Justin L.
