Babylon VBS will host church event

Babylon Vacation Bible School will present, “Daniel’s Courage in Captivity,” an event featuring a story about Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture.
The free event will take place Monday, April 9 to Friday, April 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Gospel Tabernacle Church at 5029 Kennedy Boulevard.

North Bergen Library will hold computer classes in Spanish

The North Bergen Free Public Library, at 8411 Bergenline Ave., will hold basic and intermediate computer classes in Spanish on Tuesdays beginning April 10 and ending May 22. The classes run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will cover e-mail, internet searching, and Microsoft Office software.

The North Bergen Free Public Library is assisting residents with the job-seeking process. The Job & Career Resource Center helps residents research occupations, access resources on how to create professional resumes, learn interviewing skills, and search current job listings.

Upcoming town meetings

North Bergen will hold three meetings next week. An Alcohol Beverage Control Board meeting will take place Monday, March 26 at 7 p.m. A Traffic Advisory Board meeting will take place Tuesday, March 27 at 6 p.m. A Board of Commissioners meeting will take place Wednesday, March 28 at 11 a.m. All meetings are scheduled to be held in the conference room of town hall at 4233 Kennedy Boulevard.
A hearing on the Board of Education 2012-2013 budget is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at 7317 Kennedy Boulevard. A regular meeting will be held immediately after the budget hearing.
