To the Editor:
We seem to have a new monument to replace the one on Avenue E and 45th Street. This obstacle was in the middle of the street for over two years.
Now we have a replacement between 29th and 30th Streets on Broadway. This barrier was supposed to be up for a short time. It has been a few years.
If you walk under this canopy, you need an umbrella to stop the bird droppings. Your option is to walk in the street and possibly get hit by a car. Also the city is losing money, due to the lack of meters. When is the problem going to be rectified?
