To the Editor:
The Obama Administration’s decision to further delay the Keystone Pipeline that will provide Canadian oil to the United States is against the interest of middle and working class people in communities like Bayonne. We are facing record gasoline prices for February, which is a hardship for motorists and a weight on our hopes for economic recovery.
The president needs to stand up to the environmental extremists who are causing hard-working Americans more pain at the pump. If President Obama does not do the right thing to create jobs and help people with an everyday expense, loyal Bayonne democrats need to put their interests above party on this issue and seriously consider supporting a Republican for president in November.
