Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hard working individuals that comprise North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue and the West New York Police Department. On January 14, 2012, these brave men and women responded to an emergency call to my home over a flaming boiler in my basement. It is without a doubt that their quick actions saved not only the place I call home, but the lives of my children as well. This personal experience has given me a much deeper look and understanding into the daily lives of firefighters and police officers. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the outstanding public service they perform for all of our residents.
