Dear Editor:
I would like to personally express my deepest gratitude to Frank X. Schillari, the entire Hudson County Sherriff’s Department and all the other emergency response teams that collaborated to ensure our safety on the morning of January 13, 2012. I was in the court house building to handle a personal matter that morning when the building was evacuated. I was relieved that our safety was ensured by the speedy response of the aforementioned teams.
We were evacuated in less than 10 minutes and the effectiveness and professionalism during the procedure was commendable. I feel fortunate to live in an area where true heroes work and live. Although no evidence of a threat was found, I am relieved to know that the effectiveness and performance, as demonstrated in this case, would have saved our lives. I extend my sincerest gratitude for a job well done and I can say that as a Veteran of the United States and participant of “Operation Iraqi Freedom” as well as “Operation Enduring Freedom” …I truly feel safe with these honorable men and women members of the Hudson County Sherriff’s Department under the leadership of Frank X. Schillari.
Sincerely,
Jaime A. Panesso
