A funeral mass was offered Jan. 26 at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, Jersey City, for Angela Carpinelli, 95. She died Jan. 23. Born in Jersey City, she resided there for 85 years before moving to Pompton Plains 10 years ago. Angela was employed as a Payroll Supervisor for Western Electric for 35 years prior to her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the A.T.andT. Pioneers Club. Angela is a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy RC Church in Jersey City. She is survived by two nephews, Dominick Carpinelli and wife, Nina of Clifton, and Carmen Tarantino and wife, Marie of Totowa; by two nieces, Rose Underwood of Virginia and Mary Ann Wilk of Pennsylvania; and by many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Angela is predeceased by two brothers, Patrick and Michael Carpinelli; by three sisters, Mildred Sotilli, Bella Tarantino and Rose DeFina; by a niece, Grace Bischoff; and by a nephew, Bernard Sotilli.
