Woman arrested for alleged drug possession near 56th Street

Alicia D’Antonio, 25, of Manalapan, N.J., was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, and possession of a syringe on Jan. 25 after police responded to a call of someone who appeared unconscious in a car near 56th Street.
The police report said that the arresting officers smelled the odor of burnt marijuana when they talked to D’Antonio, who was seated in the car. In a subsequent search, the officers reported finding a glassine bag containing suspected heroin, one marijuana cigarette, and a syringe. A background check, the police report said, showed that she had outstanding unpaid fines from Perth Amboy, Sayreville, Woodbridge, and Old Bridge totaling $1,300. D’Antonio, a police spokesperson said, was sent to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny.

Unpaid fines leads to arrest for alleged cocaine possession

Lugene Scrivens, 53, of Jersey City, was charged with possession of cocaine after police stopped him near Hudson Plaza Motel on Jan. 24.
The police report said that officers recognized Scrivens as someone with outstanding warrants for unpaid fines in Jersey City and Hoboken, and when they arrested him, a search discovered him allegedly possessing five phials containing cocaine. Scrivens was sent to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny.

Two boys arrested for alleged assault on a police officer

Two Bayonne brothers, ages 15 and 17, were charged with assaulting a police officer after police responded to a report of a girl being assaulted near 16th Street and Avenue C at about 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 20.
The police report said that the 17-year-old boy had an arguement with his 17-year-old girlfriend, which resulted in his allegedly ripping an earring out of her ear.
When the police tried to arrest the boy, he allegedly resisted, refusing to be handcuffed, according to the report. The report also said that during this scuffle, the boy’s 15-year-old brother attempted to stop the police.
Both boys were arrested. The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. He was also charged with underage possession of alcohol for the bottle of brandy the police said they found allegedly in his pocket.
His 15-year-old brother was charged with obstructing a governmental function and resisting arrest.
The female victim was transported to Bayonne Medical Center for treatment of her injured ear.
The 17-year-old boy was sent to the Hudson County Youth Detention Center in Secaucus. The 15- year-old was released to the custody of his parents.

Woman arrested for kicking door

Hanan A Elsayd, 22, of Bayonne, was charged with disorderly conduct on Jan. 21 when she allegedly refused to stop kicking her neighbor’s door.
The police report said officers responded to the Seaview Court area at 2:30 a.m. on a call of a disturbance after someone claimed Elsayd was allegedly kicking her neighbor’s door and persistently ringing the door bell.
The report said that Elsayd allegedly continued to kick the door in the presence of the officers who asked her to stop. The report said she allegedly became belligerent and refused to be handcuffed.
She was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for $343 in unpaid fines to the City of Clifton.
Elsayd was sent to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny.
