Funeral mass was performed Jan. 14 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church for Sylvia Viola, 76. She died Jan. 8 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, the daughter of the late Mary (Pignatore) and Harry Isnardi, she moved to Whiting five years ago. She retired from the advertising industry in New York City. She was the wife of the late Michael Viola; sister of Alfred Isnardi; and aunt of Alfred, Robert, Michael, Maria, Lee, Diane, James, Jackie, David, Mary Jane and Barbara.
