Dear Editor:
I feel like I cannot walk down a street in Hoboken without worrying that I will be stepping in a pile of dog poop. When my kids ride their scooters or bikes down the street it has turned into an obstacle course. Hoboken is known to be very dog friendly, but some dog walkers are not adhering to their responsibilities. City hall needs to look into this as it is turning our great city into a sh*t hole, literally. I do not know what the overall solution is, but I have confronted dog walkers on the street and stood over them until they cleaned up after their dog. Going forward I will take pictures of the offenders and the pile of poop and forward to the police. I suggest that Hoboken residents step up and be proactive in taking care of this problem, and push City Hall to do the same. We pay high enough taxes and should be able to walk down the street and not worry where we step.
