Funeral services were held Jan. 16 for Joyce C. Fenton, formerly of Jersey City. She died peacefully Jan. 12. Joyce was born in Jersey City and lived most of her life there before moving to Lakehurst and Freehold. She worked for Verizon in Newark in their Treasury Department for over thirty years. She was the wife of John A. Fenton; mother of Thomas Riepel, John Cafarelli, and Christine Godlewski; sister of the late Janice Mullaly; and also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services arranged by the Houghton Funeral Home, Jersey City.
