Funeral mass was held Jan. 9 at St. Johns Church, Leonia, for William J. Purvin, 71, of Leonia, formerly of North Bergen. He passed away Jan. 5. Born in Jersey City, he was a retired electrician for the Port Authority of NY and NJ in Newark. He was the husband of Marilyn Purvin; father of William Purvin, Jr. and his wife Dawn Cappadona, Michael Purvin and his wife Ann LaCarrubba, Kevin Purvin and his wife Carrie Purvin; grandfather of Eva, Kyle and Matthew; brother of Diane Marshall and brother in law of Frank Minichiello.
