Funeral services were held Jan. 7 for Millicent Patricia Madsen, 80, of Weehawken. She passed away Dec. 29. She was a lifelong resident of Hudson County, living in Weehawken for the past 34 years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Madsen and parents, Charles and Matilda Walker. She was the mother of Steve Madsen and wife Kathy, Patricia Fitzgerald and husband Thomas and Glenn Madsen. She was the sister of; Charles Walker, Robert Walker and wife Terry and Gail Armitage. She was also survived by sister in law Irene Gehrig and many nieces and nephews. Millie attended Union Hill High School and worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. before becoming a full time homemaker. She was devoted to motherhood and her community and was an active member of 1st Reform Church in Union City and Trinity Reform Church in West New York. She was also a great lover of music. She was very involved with Camp Great Endeavor, a Christian Children Camp for the underprivileged. A great lover of nature, she enjoyed hiking, camping, sightseeing and traveling. She was also a volunteer for the Christ Hospital Auxiliary. Millie lived a Christian life, always concerned for others. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
