Funeral services are scheduled for Jan. 9 for Philip A. Fallo, 88, of Ridgefield, originally from Hoboken and a graduate of Demarest High School. He passed away Jan. 4. He was the devoted husband of Marion Fallo; the beloved father of Phil Fallo, Jr. of New York City and his wife Rebecca Tyler, Christopher Fallo of Hackensack, and Geraldine Fallo of Hoboken, and loving brother of Frieda Kozarich of Lyndhurst.
Phil was a devoted Roman Catholic. He was a very active parishioner of St. Matthew’s Church, Ridgefield, serving in the past as parish council president, member of the Holy Name Society and the Eucharistic Adoration Group, coordinator of Lectors, leader of the Boy Scouts, and founder and coordinator of the Funeral Ministry Team. He served as treasurer of the Seniors, was a member of the American Legion Post 221 and served on the Board of Education, all in Ridgefield. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was distribution manager of consumer products for Smithkline Beecham, Clifton.
Visitation will take place at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield, (201-945-5032) on Sunday Jan. 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 a.m. to attend the funeral mass at 10:15 a.m. at St. Matthew’s RC Church, 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield.
