A funeral mass was offered Jan. 3 at St. Anne’s Church for Michael Agresta, 89, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away Dec. 30. Michael was born in Plati, Calabria, Italy to the late Patsy and Elisabetta (Sergi) Agresta. Mr. Agresta was a World War II Navy veteran. He worked for National Airlines and was also a shoe repairman in Jersey City for many years. He was the husband of the late Grace (Yuppa) Agresta; brother of Domenick and Camille Agresta; uncle of Anthony and Elizabeth Agresta. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews from his late wife’s family. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
