HOBOKEN – The new owners of Hoboken University Medical Center and JNESO District Council 1, the hospital’s nurses union, have reached a collective bargaining agreement, according to a release from HUMC.
The agreement was recently ratified by the union members.
“We value all of the employees at Hoboken University Medical Center and are looking forward to working with the members of all of the hospital’s bargaining units to provide high quality patient care,” said Phillip S. Schaengold, J.D., Chief Executive Officer of HUMC.
A representative from JNESO was not immediately available for comment. However, on the JNESO website, a banner reads: “Congratulations Hoboken on ratifying your contract!!!”
HUMC has now finalized collective bargaining agreements with all three of its unions since a new ownership group took over in October. — Ray Smith
