Thankful Wallace parent

Dear Editor:
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Hoboken Board of Education, New Superintendent, Dr. Toback and new Principal Mr. Medlin for all the work they have done this year and are continuing to do, particularly at The Wallace School, it has not gone by unnoticed!
I have seen so many significant changes, including the new technology like Smart Boards in all the classrooms. However, what I am particularly excited about is the increase in communication with the parents. This increase in communication to parents on upcoming school events and important school information has been a drastic change and an area that many of us felt needed attention for way too long. It’s great to now go on the school website, to see up-to-date information!
I am also really looking forward to the upcoming Genesis Program. This will allow parents to view their child’s grades, assignments and teacher comments.
I as a parent was seriously considering placing my daughter in a private school but I chose to give it one more year. Now, I’m very happy with my decision. The changes I have seen implemented so far this year by the Board of Education, Dr. Toback and Mr. Medlin have really made a difference.
I speak for many Wallace school parents – “We truly thank you and ask that you please keep up the great work. The children deserve it as this is their future.”

With much appreciation,
Diana Mattessich
