To the Editor:
Christmas is a wonderful time of the year! Sure there is work and a bit of stress, but just think of all the marvelous benefits of Christmas: the excitement and joy of small children opening their presents! Their smiles and delight for getting what they’ve waited for for months. The opportunity to be with your loved ones you haven’t seen for awhile. Gorgeous decorations in your house, your block, New York City! Good food! Yummy desserts! Lots of sports to watch (imagine the Jets vs. the Giants)! Beautiful Christmas music! Those funny or touching Christmas movies! It is a wonderful life! And that warm, fulfilling feeling when you give someone you care about a gift they really like and appreciate.
Last year my wife, knowing my handyman inclinations, gave me a beautiful Swiss army knife with loads of tools on it. I carry it with me almost everywhere I go! And yes, I have used it many times.
So I’d like to thank the man who made this great time of the year possible. Thank you! And by the way, happy birthday!
