Funeral mass was offered Nov. 14 at St. Paul of the Cross RC Church for Frances Briody, 91. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Nov. 9. She was a parishioner of St. Paul of the Cross RC Church in Jersey City, a member of their Rosary Society, founder of the K of C Women’s Club 318 and an avid Yankees fan. She was the wife of the late Thomas; mother of Kathleen Kelly and husband Joseph, Mary Ann Slane and the late Frances; sister of the late Jack Cremins, Peggy Greger and Eileen Hourican; grandmother of Thomas, Patrick, Steven, Kathleen and Eileen Kelly, Erin and Anthony Garaguso, Colleen and Jerry Dawson; and great-grandmother of Sonny Dawson.
