To the Editor:
The recent snow storm caused several large branches to break on a large maple tree in front of our home. Two broken branches were lying on a power line some 25 feet in the air. We starting calling PSE&G on Saturday, but it was not until Tuesday evening that their representative looked at the tree and said, “We don’t do that. Call City Hall.”
We spoke to Bayonne’s Forestry Division at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning and by 10:30 a.m., a crew and bucket truck were at the scene. They cut down the dangerous branches and hauled them away, thus preventing the power line from breaking. Thank you for quick response and expert skills.
