GUTTENBERG AND BEYOND – Former employees of the Galaxy Towers at 7000 Boulevard East will face a hearing before the National Labor Relations Board on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 9:30 a.m. in Newark, according to a complaint sent to The Reporter by Mike Deluca, a former board member for the Galaxy.
The roughly 60 employees, who were part of a union, were laid off on Aug. 1. Residents have said that some of the workers had been there for 25 years or more.
If the NLRB rules in favor of the former employees, who were unionized, the complaint has asked that the Galaxy Towers Condominium Association “restore its business operations as they existed.” –Stephen LaMarca
