DEMONTREUX, JEANNE P

A funeral mass took place Nov. 2 at St. Rocco’s Church, Union City, for Jeanne P. Demontreux. She passed away on Oct. 27. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Ernest J. and her brother James V. LeBeau. She is survived by her children, Jeanne Anne Weinberg, Solange Curry, Michelle Demontreux, Mary A. Cervino, Ernest H. Jr., William L. Demontreux and her sister, Annette Burke and by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A parishioner of St. Augustine’s, she was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and Emerson High School, earning the title NJ State Champion Forensic Debate. Her college and post graduate work was at Montclair State University, Fordham and Kean Universities. A pioneer in Learning Disabilities, she worked at Webster School, Weehawken and Secaucus Board of Education and also as a catechist at St. Lawrence, Weehawken.
