As Halloween nears, North Bergen residents have begun preparing their homes in anticipation for the widely-celebrated holiday. While many decorators have chosen to embellish the frightening aspect, others prefer to highlight the autumn aesthetics.
North Bergen kids can also look forward to the town’s annual parade, which will take place Monday, Oct. 31 at the 64th Street softball field from 6 to 8 p.m. Kids through age 9 can participate in the parade, while the rest can watch and enjoy the fun. The field will also play host to pumpkin picking, a petting zoo, and plenty of “goodies.”
As many children set out to hunt for candy, the houses they visit often set the tone for the memories they will make trick-or-treating. The photographs that accompany this article are some of the houses whose homeowners are committed to embracing the truly strange atmosphere that surrounds Halloween.
