No pink shirts for firefighters

The North Hudson Regional firefighters have been told that the pink t-shirts they intended to wear in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month did not meet the professional uniform dress code, according to cbslocal.com.
Some of the firefighters wished to support family members who had been diagnosed with the disease by selling the t-shirts to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. When passers-by saw the men wearing them, many stopped in to ask if they were for sale.
Despite the uniform crack-down, the firefighters have still been able to raise around $2,500 for the cause.
