A funeral mass was offered Oct. 3 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Mary Rose Cicala, 86. Mary passed away peacefully at her sister’s home in Hoboken. Born in Brooklyn, she was a resident of Hoboken for 80 years. She was a retired seamstress specializing in professional ballerina costumes. She was the wife of the late Daniel (1993). She is also survived by her two sons, retired Hoboken Police Sergeant Joseph and Dominic Cicala; and two sisters, Milly Del Collo and Theresa Paterson. She was a grandmother to Stephen, Nicole, Daniel, and Michael Hayes. A great joy in her life were her two great grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Mary shared a very special relationship with her two daughters-in-law, Marion and Joann. Widowed in 1993, she was predeceased by a sister, Rose Ackerman, and a brother, Joseph. Mary was a proud member of the Francone and Amato Associations, and the Senior Citizen Organization at Marion Towers. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
