What happened to Hoboken’s proposed emergency public address system?

HOBOKEN — It was big talk after 9/11, and the Hoboken City Council approved it in 2007. So four years later, what happened to Hoboken’s proposed public address system that is supposed to help notify residents in emergencies?
Several officials weren’t sure what happened when we asked them about it for a story last week, but we’ll be asking for more specifics in a followup.
