To the Editor:
This is in response to the letter Larry Buck wrote.
I am a member of the B.F.C.F. These poor cats never hurt anyone. They didn’t ask to be where they are. It’s people like Mrs. Henderson who cares so much to have them fixed to prevent the cat population from expanding. It’s working so far. We need the ordinance so we, the caretakers, are protected. Please consider it. I will protect these cats to the fullest from harm!
Nothing is being said about the raccoons, possums and rats on our waterfront. Raccoons and possums are in our backyards. That seems to be okay. All you people have it wrong about the feral cats.
You know what they say: when we die, we all come back as something. Well, I hope all you people come back as cats and you get the same treatment. These cats are God’s creation. God works in strange ways and you all will get yours.
This is not a hobby; this is compassion for the cats, not for neighbors that don’t care. Believe me, I would have a roadside funeral for a cat before I would have one for a heartless person.
