Cops allege that North Bergen man was faux police officer

GUTTENBERG AND BEYOND – A North Bergen man was arrested after allegedly impersonating a New York City Police officer in Guttenberg, police say.
Police received calls that a man impersonating a police officer was allegedly pulling drivers over in Guttenberg in a Black Dodge Charger with a police light. According to the calls, the man was allegedly in possession of a police uniform and a handgun.
After obtaining a search warrant, Guttenberg police arrested Brian Dorador, 27, North Bergen, minutes before midnight on Aug 14. “We discovered from the NYPD that he’s not a New York City police officer,” said Sergeant Juan Barrera.
Dorador was charged with impersonating a police officer, possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, and having a fraudulent police badge.
Bail was set at $50,000.
