PACE, RICHARD C

A mass of Christian burial took place Aug. 6 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church for Richard C. Pace, 77. He passed away Aug. 3, in Toms River. He was born in Jersey City and lived there most of his life before moving to Germantown, Md. in 1989, when he was transferred to HUD HQ in Washington, DC. He served in the United States Army, was a board member for the founding of the US World War II Memorial, and a president of the Toastmasters International. He also served on the US Drafting Board and was a professional photographer and avid postcard collector. He was a communicant of Mother Seton Catholic Church in Germantown and a grandfather. He is survived by his mother, Ethel; three children, Jean, Robert, and Barbara Ellen; and seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Giavanna, Jorden, Sofiya, Christopher, Ryan, and Carlie. Services arranged by the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River.
