A funeral mass was offered July 29 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Jersey City, for Florence M. Finch, 74. She died July 25 at Monroe Village Nursing Home. A lifelong Jersey City resident, she was the daughter of the late Filomena (Vitale) and Michael Sassi. She retired in 1991 after 15 years as a coordinator for the Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County. She was a 65 year member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Jersey City, where she belonged to several organizations and was proudest of her 25 year membership in the choir. She was the wife of the late Robert T. Finch; mother of Thomas and his wife Carol, and Michael and his wife Linda “Bailey”, and grandmother of Elizabeth, Matthew, Kathleen and Brian. She was pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law, Roberta Nobes Finch and her sisters, Marie Komorowski and Madeline Remier. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
