Funeral services took place Aug. 4 for Marilyn J. Brannagan, 80. She passed away July 31. Born in North Bergen, Marilyn lived there for most of her life before moving to New Milford in 1985. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, F. Walter Brannagan and sister-in-law Catherine M. Brannagan. She was mother to Erin Brannagan, Tara Osmanski, Maura Buzzelli and Sean Brannagan; and is also survived by grandchildren, Lauren and Shaun Buzzelli, Devin Brannagan, and Conor, Kieran and Caitlin Osmanski. She was predeceased by her sister, Marion L. Carr and sister-in-law Madeline V. Brannagan. Born to Henry P. Kraemer and Marion L. Whan at home in North Bergen, Marilyn attended high school at St. Dominic’s Academy, Jersey City, and graduated from Caldwell College. Marilyn worked for 27 years as an elementary school teacher in Washington School, John F. Kennedy School, and Franklin School in North Bergen.
