A mass of Christian burial was offered July 25 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church for Alfred J. De Salvo Jr. He passed away at his residence suddenly on July 20. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Allie was a maintenance worker at the Meadowlands Race Track and later worked for the Jersey City Board of Education at School 5. He also volunteered at the Jersey City Elks Club. He was the son of Alfred J. and Mary. Allie is also survived by his daughter Gina Marie Assuncao (Ricardo), grandson Cristiano Assuncao and his sister Theresa De Salvo. He was the former husband of Lynn Hunt. Allie was an avid Yankee and Raiders fan. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
