BAYONNE — A West Milford private contractor hired to clean gutters and install skylights at a home on West 40th Street fell off the ladder for a two and a half story plunge to the front lawn – and survived without serious injury, police said.
Deputy Police Chief Ralph Scianni said officers arrived at the house at 9:28 a.m. Thursday morning to find the man on the ground with bruises and cuts on one side of his face and complaining about back, neck, and other pains.
A 54-year-old resident of West Milford, the contractor was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where he was examined and found to have not suffered any life threatening injuries, Scianni said.
The police notified The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Bayonne Building Department were notified, Scianni said.
