Dear Editor:
The City of Jersey City is in crisis right now with high taxes, wasteful spending, out of control spending, high crime and neglect. In November 2011, there will be a election in Jersey City. There are two seats up for grabs for the At-Large City Council Seats. Currently, Councilman Velasquez and Councilwoman Ahmad serves as the incumbents and they are being backed by Mayor Healy. The Healy Administration has already destroyed the city and it’s time for new leaders to step in. The incumbents must not get elected to serve the people of Jersey City. I forgot they were never elected in the first place. They were appointed by the Mayor because of other city issues. I feel that is wrong and is undemocratic. The taxpayers of Jersey City should decide who will be representing them. Now they have the time in November. As the Chairman of the Hudson County Teenage Republicans, I have not decided who I will be supporting yet. I may support a Democrat if fiscal responsibility is implemented. Wake up, Jersey City, Vote for New Leadership!
